Smart Senja

Smart Senja is an Enova-supported project led by Troms Kraft Nett. Enfo is part of the consortium with Ishavskraft, Troms Kraft Nett, Powel, Eaton, Nodes Market, the University of Tromsø and others. In this project we will show how smart energy management and flexibility trading can help ensure security of supply to important consumers and industry. Enfo's flextools platform will connect all flexible assets to the NODES marketplace.

Norflex demo Agder

Over a three-year period, the energy industry players Agder Energi, Statnett, Glitre Energi, Mørenett and NODES will jointly test various technological solutions to promote more flexible electricity consumption by customers in the NORFLEX project. Enfo deliver technology and expertise to the project together with our customers: Ishavskraft, Entelios, Futurehome, Noova Energi and Istad Kraft. For each of these, we work with different technology companies to connect and integrate flexible assets: Techla, Sentient, EcoSTOR, IoT Solutions, Pixii to name a few.

Derfor vil vi bruke ny teknologi for å jevne ut toppene i forbruket. Dette er både enklere og rimeligere enn å forsterke strømnettet. Vi vil forsøke å utløse fleksibilitet i forbruket av strøm, ved at husholdninger og bedrifter kan få betalt for å redusere strømforbruket sitt når belastningen på nettet er stor.

Agder Energi

eFleks

Together with Statnett, Entelios and Siemens, we are part of the R&D project eFleks. The project is run by Statnett in collaboration with the industry. In this project we connect demand response assets in the price area NO1 to the tertiary reserve market. The flexible assets are offered in Statnetts Regulerkraftmarked and are activated automatically by Statnett with the electronic activation: eBestill.

Piloten eFleks skal stimulere til at flere teknologier og en større bredde med aktører tilbyr fleksibilitet gjennom regulerkraftmarkedet i NO1. I løpet av vinteren 2019/2020 tester vi ut budkvantum ned mot 1 MW.

Statnett

iFlex

Together with Entelios, Storebrand and IPS, Enfo is part of the Statnett project iFleks. IPS (Ingeniør Pål Skomedal AS) has adjusted their existing energy control systems in Storebrand's buildings, so that it can be integrated to Enfos flexibility platform flextools. We use our PriceGuard feature to reduce and move consumption during hours with high spot prices.

iFleks er et samfunnsnyttig forskningsprosjekt som har som mål å kvantifisere framtidig prisfølsomhet til husholdninger og næringsbygg i byområder. Prosjektet vil gi oss kunnskap om hvordan sluttbrukere reagerer på forskjellige timespriser for strøm

Statnett

MikroFlex

The MikroFlex project is a large and exciting project with many different players. 1500 prosumers houses are under construction outside Fredrikstad. The project is part of the large-scale pilot projects supported by Enova. The main players are FutureHome AS, Bergård Amundsen, Arca Nova AS, Get AS, Smart Energi AS, Defa AS and Pixii AS.

De mest sentrale elementene i prosjektet er: lokale energi- og effektmarkeder hvor tilgjengelig fleksibilitet kjøpes og selges, to-veis bilbatterier for effektavlastning, batterier som brukes aktivt som en effektreserve mot overliggende nett og styringssystemer som optimaliserer energi- og effektbruken i byggene i området.

Enova

Agder Energi Proof of Concept Engene

We are proud to have been a part of this proof of concept together with Agder Energi and Microsoft. The proof of concept leverages intelligent software to integrate renewable and distributed energy resources into the grid. Enfo provided the right technology to the flexibility provider, so that they are able to forecast avaliable flexibility from consumption, place bids with avaliable flexibility to the grid company and remotely manage and dispatch flexible loads. Together we will be able to give customers predictability, provide a more efficient and flexible power grid and reduce future investments.

Agder Energi received the prestigious Innovative Star of Energy Efficiency Award; Power Generation and Supply together with Microsoft for a smart grid pilot project that will help create efficient, flexible and intelligent power system for the future. Read more about it here.

RKOM/RK Market participation

Together with Entelios, we have participated in Statnetts ancillary market for tertiary reserves (RKOM/RK) in the price area NO1 for many years. Locally, we install a control system that collects meter data (HAN) and dispatches loads based on market signals. The control system also acts as a connection point up to our cloud based platform, flextools. Flextools is the aggregators tool to integrate, aggregate, optimize and realize value from flexible assets. This is integrated with Statnett's systems so that the aggregator can use our tool directly to place bids and receive activation signals.

Demonstration project with Skagerak Nett

This demonstration project with Skagerak Nett will demonstrate how flexible assets from different types of customers and power sources can be realized as a resource for the distribution grid and contribute to local value - in a micro energy system. Utilizing flexible assets can contribute to reduced energy- and grid costs for private customers, as well as reducing the load on the grid in peak hours. To achieve this, Skagerak Nett will use flextools as a platform to aggregate and manage flexible assets challenging grid locations. This demonstration project is funded by Enova and will be carried out in collaboration with Skagerak Nett, Futurehome, SINTEF Energy, Horten Municipality, Vestfold County Municipality, Format Eiendom and Aidon.
